Dear clinical teachers and external veterinarians,
Following interest and requests we have embarked on a program to increase support for the important role clinicians play in the training of undergraduate veterinary science students. As a part of this program we are aiming to develop a short (approximately 1 hour) online training course that will cover the basics of clinical teaching. This resource will aim to provide simple and practical tips/ strategies for clinical teachers.
It is envisaged that this course will form part of the induction process for new UQ clinical staff members and would also be made available free of charge for interested preceptors from private veterinary practices who take students for clinical placements.
How You Can Help:
We are seeking your input via this short online questionnaire which asks for your opinions regarding relevant topics to be included in the online training course.
The questionnaire will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and involves ticking relevant boxes, and answering an open-ended question for additional comments.
Conditions of Participation:
Your participation in this study is voluntary, responses will be anonymous, and results will not be generated, analysed, released or published in any identifiable form.
Collated responses will be analysed to assist with the design of this new teaching resource.
Results from this survey will be used for internal review purposes, preparation of reports and may contribute to peer-reviewed publications in the veterinary and higher education literature.
